Governor Brown has declared a state of emergency in 50 California counties that were hammered by the recent storms, including Kern County.

Monday’s proclamations cover counties across the state that were hit with flooding, mudslides, erosion and damage to roads and highways since December. The damage is in the tens-of-millions of dollars.
