A new planning commissioner has been chosen to represent the Ward 6 seat vacated by the late Jeff Tkac.Tkac left the commission when he was elected to the Bakersfield City Council. Local developer Bob Bell was approved by the Council Wednesday night to complete the planning board term that ends in 2020. Bell has been active with Keep Bakersfield Beautiful.
