A 44-year-old man is dead after crashing a dune buggy on Astoria Avenue in Rosamond. The CHP says the local resident was going about 40 miles an hour just after noon Wednesday when he swerved to avoid a gully in the roadway. The dune buggy flipped, killing the driver and injuring a passenger, no identities have been released.
