The Dolores Huerta Foundation will be presenting the Kern High School District Board of Trustees with two thousand signatures.They are asking the board to overturn their policy allowing concealed weapons on campuses. The activists plan to be at Monday night’s meeting in Bakersfield to hand over the petition. The board passed the concealed weapons policy last year after a new state law prohibited CCW permit holders from carrying on campus without administrative approval. CCW permits had been allowed on KHSD campuses for decades prior to the state law.
