The Dolores Huerta Foundation has presented Kern High School District Trustees with a petition.The signatures are calling for them to repeal the policy allowing teachers to carry guns on campus.The petition with more than 3,000 names was presented at Monday night’s school board meeting, representing opposition to the rule change passed last year. Numerous speakers asked the board to revisit the policy saying its chief supporter, Chad Vegas, is no longer a school board member.
