The first Bakersfield housing market report of the year shows the median price declined by $5,000.The decline of $5,000 was for a second consecutive month. Affiliated Appraisers reports the January median price at $215 thousand. Local prices remain 28 percent below the housing peak in 2006, the rest of the U.S. is said to have fully recovered.
