The man accused of carjacking a family vehicle in east Bakersfield with two one-year-olds inside has pleaded no contest to kidnapping.

Police say Jesus Vences pulled a knife on them when they found the kids in a trailer near Niles and Oswell streets last October, the babies were returned to their mother an hour later. Sentencing is March 7th.
