A cap popped off a chemical waste container in Oildale, and that brought out the hazmat team. One employee of Patriot Environmental on Carrier Parkway was exposed to the unknown material around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon, but did not need medical care after being decontaminated. There were no evacuations, according to Kern County Fire.
