Sheriff’s homicide detectives have been called out to an orange grove on Breckenridge Road.The location is near Comanche Drive east of Bakersfield. Department spokesman Ray Pruitt says a farm worker found a body just after 2:00 Thursday afternoon, but said the investigation is still in the early stages but the victim is a man and the body shows obvious signs of trauma. It’s unclear if the victim died at the scene or was dumped there, Pruitt says it sometimes happens that orchards are used to dispose of homicide victims who are killed elsewhere.
