Bakersfield College has been given an $80,000 state grant to fund green energy automotive programs.

Instructor Andrew Haney thinks the Energy Commission reward he applied for will help his students get good paying jobs right here because clean technology is being incorporated into regular cars and trucks.

The school will be teaching students how to work on and develop natural gas, liquid petroleum, hybrid, and electric vehicles.
