A special tree has been planted at the 911 World Trade Center Memorial.The tree was added to the memorial on Buena Vista Road in southwest Bakersfield. The Callery pear tree planted next to the fire station Friday is a sapling from the Survivor Tree in New York which was the last living thing pulled from the rubble of the Twin Towers. That tree was nursed back to life and 200 saplings were made from it. #49 was planted just a few feet away from a beam from the World Trade Center that was placed there last summer, the memorial is between a fire and police station.
