Former Bakersfield City Councilman Harold Hanson is not going to run for his old job. He said Wednesday he believes there are qualified people among the five candidates who have pulled papers to run for the Ward 5 seat, it became open following the sudden death of Jeff Tkac. Hanson would not say which of the five he considers the best choice.
