The U.S. Drought Monitor is now saying Bakersfield is no longer under drought conditions. This week’s update puts us into the Abnormally Dry category despite continuing rain storms. This weekend’s weather system could further push Kern County closer to normal, however our groundwater table remains seriously depleted.
