MARCHING ON ARVIN AGAIN

Marchers have again descended on Arvin City Hall calling for it to become a sanctuary city. Local activists Faith in the Valley again were organizers of Monday’s rally where several hundred showed up to protest immigration enforcement, as they did last Thursday. The group wants Arvin not to use city resources to cooperate with federal immigration agents. City leaders are concerned about losing federal infrastructure dollars should the make the declaration. They also note police do not work with ICE agents anyway.
