McFarland police are investigating whether a pair of shootings that happened 45 minutes apart are connected.

The first victim was shot once in the back Saturday evening while the second was hit in the stomach. Both were struck by a person who rode up to each of their homes in a dark colored sedan.

Police are also looking into whether the shootings are gang related since one of the victims had gang ties.
