A 16-year-old boy is recovering from a bullet wound to the leg after a gun accidentally went off. Deputies were called out Wednesday morning to a home on Reese Avenue near Cottonwood Road in south Bakersfield where they found the boy had apparently shot himself. Two other youngsters were present when the gun went off, but neither was injured.
