The City of Bakersfield is looking for someone with a big interest in the history of our area. A seat is opening on the Historic Preservation Commission which reviews and designates what is historic in town and what is not. Applications can be made for the three-year term at the City Clerk’s office, and nominees will be chosen by the full City Council. An alternate is also being sought for the Keep Bakersfield Beautiful committee.
