A guilty verdict has been reached in the case of a man accused of gunning down a Marine.The victim had just returned from duty in Afghanistan. 22-year-old Alonso Corona was convicted Thursday of first-degree murder for the shooting at a house party in southwest Bakersfield in 2015 that killed Victor Anaya. Corona was among a group of gang members who were told to leave the party when they began using narcotics, however, the jury was unable to reach a verdict on a gang charge. Sentencing is April 18th.
