The Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners’s trip to the final four of the National Invitation Tournament is generating a lot of excitement back home.

Athletic Director Ziggy Siegfried is in New York with the team, who started practicing on Monday, and says Tuesday night’s game against Georgia Tech is even bigger than playing in the NCAA basketball tournament last season because we have the opportunity to go even farther.

He says winning the tournament would do wonders for recruiting and sponsorships for the program.
