The former treasurer of a local construction labor union has pleaded guilty.The charge was for embezzling nearly $169 thousand. 56-year-old Edward Padilla entered the plea in federal court Monday for writing fake paychecks and using union credit cards for personal gain. He faces up to five years in prison when sentenced in July.
