FELON GETS 83 YEARS FOR OILFIELD WORKER KILLING

A convicted felon who killed an oilfield worker after an argument in an east Bakersfield alley has been sentenced to 83 years to life in prison.

62-year-old Monty Embry shot Darrelle Robertson in the back near Dolores and Owens streets in 2015. It is unclear what the men were arguing about. One of the shots went through a neighbor’s window.

Embry was caught a day later in a San Jose casino.
