The Cal State Bakersfield Children’s Center is celebrating its 40th anniversary and has now become a full-fledged STEAM education program.

Director Gladys Garcia-Jara says what started as a daycare center is now preparing preschoolers with courses in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. The CSUB Children’s Center charges tuition and is used by students, employees, and the general public.
