MILLIONS TO MAKE KERN COUNTY HEALTHIER

A charitable foundation is sending $3 million to San Joaquin Valley non-profit groups to address the inequity between health conditions and in the rest of California. Kaying Hang of the Sierra Health Foundation says the Valley does its share with agriculture and energy to boost the state’s economy and deserves healthier outcomes.

Eleven Kern County non-profit agencies will get a share of the money to work on issues like having a clean environment for children.
