Kern County firefighters had to make two calls to an east Bakersfield neighborhood within a few hours of each other.

KGET-TV reports that the first fire was at a home on Kentucky Street near Linton Street early Tuesday morning where a family recently moved out. That fire caused about $60,000 in damage.

An earlier fire at Kentucky and Barlow streets caused $15,000 in damage. Both blazes are being investigated.
