ALL ALTERNATIVE BY 2045

Democrats in the State Senate have introduced a bill to require all of California’s electricity be generated by renewable sources. The goal is to go all alternative by the year 2045. The bill presented Tuesday adds to the current mandate that half of all electricity be from renewables by 2030. Kern County is a leading producer of renewable electricity. Bakersfield State Senator Jean Fuller calls the measure an “expensive and dangerous game.”
