Bakersfield Assemblyman Rudy Salas is leading a bi-partisan effort to restore funding to career tech education.Money for the program and for the Future Farmers of America were cut from Gov. Brown’s newly revised budget. Salas says the same thing happened in 2014, but they were able to put back the money for the highly successful programs. Salas goes before the Assembly Budget Committee Tuesday asking the $15-million in funding be restored.
