NO KILL WALK HEADS TO SUPERVISORS

Animal lovers are walking their pets to make June “No Kill” awareness month in Kern County.

The Pack Walk kicks off at Rabobank Arena at 8:15 Tuesday morning and ends with a No-Kill presentation at the Supervisors’ meeting. Activists will call for better access to low-cost spay and neuter services, as well as more adoption events to help thousands of shelter animals find homes.

The euthanasia rate at local shelters has been cut in half over the past five years.
