The County Public Health Department has updated the number of cases of Valley Fever confirmed in 2016. The department announced in April there were 19-hundred cases but further evaluation now finds 2,310 people were infected in our county last year. Of those, six people died of the virus. Reporting and tracking of the disease has been a challenge for Valley Fever.
