Police in the eastern Kern County city of Ridgecrest have killed an armed man.The suspect reportedly pointed a gun at them. A 40-year-old man was reported brandishing a gun in the noon hour Thursday on South Sunset Street, and police gave chase then surrounded him after he climbed onto the roof of a house. Seven officers opened fired when he aimed his weapon at them.
