The Bakersfield East Rotary Club have presented their annual police and fire awards. The Police Officers of the Year went to detectives Glen Davis and Matt Gregory for helping a person injured by a train this year, and Engineer Thomas Jacobson was recognized as Firefighter of the Year for rescues in the Kern River. The awards were presented on Friday.
