The City of Bakersfield Water Board has voted to drop restrictions on watering three times a week.The rules would also ease for other mandatory conservation measures. Wednesday’s vote is advisory as the City Council has the final say. Bakersfield’s other major water service provider, Cal Water, also dropped drought restrictions but continues to urge customers to conserve. City water comes from Lake Isabella, which is high enough to be beyond the recommended capacity by the Army Corps of Engineers.
