Kern County congressional representatives are reacting to the shooting of a congressman in Washington. Kevin McCarthy of Bakersfield says he knows the two Capitol Police officers who were injured, appreciates their heroism and is praying for them. David Valadao of Hanford says the attack wasn’t on Republicans or Democrats, but an attack on our democracy.
