CalOSHA is reminding employers about requirements for workers who will be out in the heat in the coming days. Shade, water and rest must be provided and it’s up to the employer to assure workers get plenty of each. New workers who haven’t been in hot conditions before should be given shorter shifts until they can acclimate and work a full schedule.
