The Kern County Raceway is calling off this weekend’s event because it’s forecast to be too hot. General Manager Larry Collins announced today [wed] that the combination of high temperatures and humidity makes for a heat index that is too high, and the safety of competitors and spectators is the priority. Racing resumes Saturday, July 1st.
