A 1000 acre grass fire burning near the Rio Bravo Country Club in east Bakersfield is at least 50% contained. The Tarina Fire started just before 2:00 Friday afternoon on Tarina Court near Breckinridge Road.

County Firefighters are using two helicopters and four air tankers to fight the flames. It is burning away from homes.
