The Kern County Auto Theft Task Force has busted an apparent chop shop operation in southeast Bakersfield. Deputies were looking for a stolen big rig in the area of Cottonwood Road and E. White Lane Wednesday night when they discovered several other stolen vehicles, including a welding truck. The CHP is assisting with the investigation.
