The folks at Houchin Blood Bank in Bakersfield hope this weekend’s heat wave will bring more people into their donation centers. Community Development Director Carola Enriquez says they’re in the middle of their first ever, Pint for a Pint campaign, where donors will receive a coupon for a pint of ice cream when they give a pint of blood.
