The 18-year-old Bakersfield man accused of killing his passenger in a DUI crash on Ming Avenue and Valhalla Drive has pleaded no contest to gross vehicular manslaughter. Police say Nigel Nieto also led them on a chase last November after they tried to pull him over for a traffic stop.

He faces 12 years in prison at his August sentencing.
