An Oildale man who burned down his house while his wife and children were inside has been convicted of attempted murder.

Prosecutors say JoJo Ruiz had been arguing with the woman inside the place on East Moneta Avenue near North Chester Avenue last November before pouring gasoline and setting it on fire. The kids and his wife escaped.

Ruiz faces 45-years-to-life in prison at his sentencing next month.
