AUSTIN POWERS ACTOR ACQUITTED AND CONVICTED

A former actor famous for playing a henchman in Austin Powers has been acquitted of murdering his Wasco State Prison cellmate.

Joseph Son was instead found guilty of voluntary manslaughter for assaulting Michael Graham five years ago, but Deputy Public Defender T. Alan Rogers thinks it didn’t need to come to this because Son had acted in self defense and had earlier requested a transfer to another cell for his safety, which was denied.

Son may get 27 years in prison at his sentencing next month. He is serving a life term for a gang rape.
