Adventist Health Bakersfield Women’s Care has received four awards including the first of its kind in Kern County. Marketing director Jimmy Phillips says the one for gynecologic surgery excellence places the facility in the top 10-percent of all hospitals nationwide that are evaluated. Experts say on average, more than 15-thousand in-hospital complications, in 17 states, could potentially have been avoided.
