A federal program that trains rural doctors is on the federal chopping block. Clinica Sierra Vista CEO Steve Schilling is working to save the Teaching Health Centers, saying the $50-Million we spend on them every year is a long term solution to a growing problem. One teaching center in Bakersfield has graduated 18 family physicians, Congress has until September to reauthorize the funds.
