The Kern County Fire Chief says they have stopped another Erskine Fire from happening near Lake Isabella. Brian Marshall told reporters Monday the 50-acre Calgary Fire that destroyed nine homes and six cars in Wofford Heights this weekend had all the ingredients to get out of control. Marshall says the fuel breaks they recently put in also helped stop it, as did the defensible space many people cleared around their homes.
