County firefighters have knocked down a fire at a home in Taft and kept it from spreading to other buildings. The flames sparked just after 1:00 Wednesday afternoon at the home on Buchanan and Cedar streets and quickly spread to an addition at the back. No one was hurt, and investigators are trying to figure out what caused it.
