Bakersfield firefighters say an electrical problem is the cause of a fire that killed eight dogs at the Park Motel on Golden State Avenue near P Street. Battalion Chief Anthony Galagaza says at least 15 people were evacuated from after the flames broke out Wednesday morning. One person was treated for smoke inhalation, damage to the residence motel is estimated at $100-thousand.
