A semi truck driver has died after his big rig drove off an overpass on Highway 58 near the Love’s Truck Stop in Tehachapi.

Firefighters say the cab crashed onto the railroad tracks below and the rear trailer caught on the bridge and was hanging vertically Saturday. They had to call for backup to get him out of the wreckage.

Hazmat crews were called to clean up gallons of spilled diesel.
