A man suspected of stealing a bicycle from a southeast Bakersfield gas station who was struck and killed by a truck shortly after the theft has been identified as 30-year-old Dennis Lopez. The Highway Patrol says he tried to cut off a flatbed as he peddled away from the Fastrip on Pacheco Road near South Union Avenue Thursday morning.
