The man arrested following a string of suspicious fires in the Oildale area has appeared in court but did not enter a plea Friday to four felony counts of arson. Damon Franklin was booked Wednesday after firefighters say three trash cans and a fence were set on fire, at least six buildings were also burned including the 7th Day Adventist Church on Sharon Place.
