An off-duty Bakersfield Police officer who was wounded during the Las Vegas mass shooting is back home.

Aaron Mundhenke was transported by Hall Ambulance Saturday with an escort of BPD patrol cars. He was shot October 1st while attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival concert with his wife, who is also police officer. He had surgery to repair a shattered pelvis, but it is not known when he’ll be back on patrol.
