WATER DINNER TALKS WATER BOND

An $8.9-Billion bond measure to improve water conveyance systems in California and the San Joaquin Valley will be going before voters next year.

Friant Water Authority CEO Jason Phillips was at Wednesday night’s annual dinner for the Kern Water Authority, and says it’s a significant problem brought on by drought and environmental regulations. Phillips says money is available to help groundwater service agencies fix canals that are sinking, but we still need help to recharge those aquifers.
